Q: Do I need a high speed internet connection?
A: You will need a broadband internet connection. For the on-line, 1-2-1 consultancy sessions, we recommend that you have a minimum of 2Mbps download and 256Kbps upload. You can check the speed of your connection here.

 

Q: Do I need special equipment to access the sessions?
A: Only for the on-line, 1-2-1 consultancy sessions where apart from your computer you will need a standard headset and a webcam.

 

Q: How can I be sure that I will get high quality career advice and guidance?
A: We only select fully qualified and highly experienced advisers with at least 5 years experience. You can also read the feedback left by clients for individual advisers.
 
Q: Do I have to download any special software?
A: No. World Class Careers uses its own audio-visual communications technology, based on the Flash® plug-in. Most computers already have Flash® installed so there is no need to load any special software in order to take part in the sessions. If you do not have the Flash® plugin you can download it for free from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

 

Q: At what times can I book sessions?
A: World Class Careers recruits advisers throughout the UK, thus sessions are available at any time 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, subject to consultant availability. Once you have enroled you can browse consultant availability using your own personal scheduling system.

 

Q: How do I pay for the sessions?
A: You can pay using any major internationally recognised credit card. We use a secure payment service.

 

Q: Why do I have to buy 'session credits'?
A: Session credits provide flexibility for you to book sessions when you want. You can cancel and re-book session times without having to repeat the credit card transactions each time. Session credits also allow you to take advantage of the discounts available for buying larger numbers of sessions without having to book all the sessions when you make the purchase.

 

Q: What happens if for some reason I am unable to attend a booked session?
A: You may cancel any booked session so long as you do so more than 24 hours before the session is due to start. Your session credit will be refunded to your account. You will not be entitled to a refund of the session credit for a cancellation less than 24 hours before the session is due to start.

 

Q: What happens if a consultant I have booked a session with is unable to attend the session?
A: The consultant will contact you and agree with you a new time for the session. Your session credit will be refunded enabling you to book a new session time.

 

Q: Can I postpone sessions after I have booked them?
A: You can cancel and re-book any session so long as the session is taken within three months of the date when the session credits were purchased.

 

Q: How will my progress be measured?
A: Your consultant(s) will leave you feedback after each session, including a numerical assessment of your ability level. You can monitor your progress by looking at your personal feedback log.
